The
American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA) is
a member-owned nonprofit organization dedicated to the
enhancement of the sport of historic motorcycle racing.
AHRMA is a chartered promoter of the American Motorcyclist
Association and conducts amateur events from coast to
coast encompassing ten regional areas.

Mike
Arendasky (824) leads Ron Harten (224) and Bob Bitting
(75f) on the opening lap of the final
Sportsmen 250 Expert moto at round 10 of the AHRMA Legends
of Motocross National Vintage Motocross Series
on June 21st at the Broome-Tioga Sports Center
in Binghamton, New York.
The
event featured three full days of amateur competition.
Friday consisted of a vintage motocross school, conducted
by Tony D Motocross Schools, and a vintage cross-country
race. Saturday featured vintage motocross racing on a
National caliber grass track that was fast, had numerous
off-camber sections and several rolling hills. On Sunday,
Hurd Motorsports, hosted round ten of the AHRMA Jakes
Garage National Post-Vintage Motocross Series.

at Broome-Tioga in Binghamton, New York on June 21st.
When
the gate dropped for the opening Sportsmen 250 Expert moto,
Rob Harten, Bob Speiss, Mike Arendasky, Billy Lumadue and
Bob Bitting led the pack up from start area into the grass
track’s first uphill section. Lumadue took over the
point by the end of the first lap. Arendasky and Oscar
Gaetan were battling for second as the exited the last
turn of lap one. Harten and Bitting rounded out the top
five. Lumadue pulled away and had a five second lead after
two and half laps. The battle for second continued between
Arendasky and Gaetan. Gaetan made the pass in the second
to last turn of lap two but Arendasky re-took the position
in the following turn just before the start of lap three.
The battle for second continued until lap six when Gaetan
had problems and dropped back to fifth. Harten inherited
third and Bitting fourth. Lumadue took the checkered flag
with a ten second advantage. Arendasky, Harten, Bitting
and Gaetan completed the top five.

Motocross Series racing at the Broome-Tioga Sports Center
in Binghamton, New York.
Arendasky
led the start of the final Sportsmen 250 Expert moto
followed by Harten, Bitting, and Lumadue. Arendasky
continued to hold the point at the end of the first lap
but had Harten right on his rear tire waiting to
capitalize on a mistake. Lumadue passed Bitting taking
third. Bitting was relegated to fourth. Arendasky had a
small three second lead over Harten by the start of lap
three with Lumadue three seconds back in third. Bitting
was all alone in fourth. Arendasky took the win with a
five second lead. Harten, Lumadue and Bitting followed.

Arendasky
(2-1) topped the podium. Lumadue (1-3) took second and
Harten (3-2) third.
Dan
Fish, aboard a CZ, led the start of the opening Sportsmen
500 moto trailed by Speiss, Elmar Kruza, Alex Moroz and
Joe Kelly. Fish was in a class of his own and pulled away
to a 13-second lead by the start of lap three. The top
five were all spread out and remained unchanged to the
checkered flag. Fish got the win with an astounding
34-second lead. Speiss, Kruza, Moroz and Kelly rounded out
the top five.

Dan Fish topped the podium of the
Sportsmen 500 Expert division with a perfect score of
1-1
at the AHRMA Vintage National at Broome-Tioga on June 21st
in Binghamton, New York.
Fish
Speiss, Kruza, Kelly and Moroz led the start of the final
Sportsmen 500 moto. Fish quickly left the pack behind and
pulled away, starting lap two six seconds ahead of Speiss.
Kruza passed Speiss on the infield section of the course,
relegating Speiss to third after two and half laps.
Fish’s lead had increased to sixteen at the start of lap
three and ballooned to 40-seconds by the checkered flag.
Kruza, Speiss, Kelly and Moroz completed the top five.
Fish
topped the podium with a perfect 1-1. Kruza’s 3-2 rides
earned second overall and Soeiss closed out the podium
with a 2-3 tally.
