Space Blitz Broome-Tioga

Justin
Yedinak (404), Bobby Gage (174) and Tyler Bigford (444)
lead the start of the first 65cc 7-9 moto at
Broome-Tioga on August 23rd in Binghamton, New
York.
Hurd Motorsports, promoters of the Broome-Tioga
Sports Center and former host of a round the AMA Motocross
Championship Series, kept the National weekend on their
schedule and featured a double header consisting of a
non-points paying race on Saturday and double points paying
AMA District 3 race on Sunday.

Bryce
Moore (24) and Josh McGinnis (5) battle for fifth place
early in the opening 65cc 7-9 moto at the
Broome-Tioga Sports Center in Binghamton, New York on August
23rd.
KTM mini pilot, Justin Yedinak, topped the podium
of the 65cc 7-9 class with a perfect 1-1. Yedinak led the
start of both motos and rode uncontested for the win in the
first moto by a margin of 17-seconds and the second with an
11-second lead. Dawson Driscoll, piloting a Kawasaki, took
runner-up with consistent 2-2 rides. Tyler Bigford, aboard
another KTM, finished third with a 4-3 score.

Bobby
Gage (174) and Tyler Bigford (444) battle for third place in
the final 65cc 7-9 moto
at Broome-Tioga on August 23rd.
Yedinak, Bobby Gage, Bigford and Driscoll led the
start of the opening 65cc 7-9 moto. When the leaders exited
the technical front section, Yedinak held the point position
followed by Driscoll, Gage, Bigford and Bryce Moore. Yedinak
started lap two with a nine second lead. Dominick Rinaldi
passed Moore to secure fifth. Five seconds separated
Driscoll and Gage. Four seconds separated Gage and Bigford
and eight seconds separated Bigford and Rinaldi. Yedinak
steadily increased his advantage with each lap, taking the
checkered flag with a whopping seventeen second lead.
Driscoll, Gage, Bigford and Josh McGinnis completed the top
five.

Ty
Space (88), Jake Staley (424) and Andrew Wethington (391)
lead the start of the first Open C moto at
Broome-Tioga on August 23rd in Binghamton, New
York.
Yedinak, Driscoll, Gage, Bigford and McGinnis led
the start of the final 65cc 7-9 moto. Yedinak left the field
behind again and had a five second advantage after only a
half lap. Driscoll was a solid second while Gage and Bigford
battled for third and fourth.
Only a bike length separated the two at the start of
lap two. Rinaldi passed McGinnis taking fifth just prior to
the start of lap two. Bigford pressured Gage for two laps,
finally making the pass for third at the end of lap three.
Yedinak started lap four with a nine second advantage that
increased to eleven seconds at the checkers. Driscoll,
Bigford, gage and Rinaldi closed out the top five.

Patrick
McGuiggan (107) and Lenny Hargrave (242) battle for fourth
place in the first Open C moto
at Broome-Tioga on August 23rd.
Ty Space, Jake Staley, Andrew Wethington and
Patrick McGuiggan led the start of the first Open C division
moto. Space continued to lead upon exiting the technical
front rhythm section followed by Staley, Wethington, Lenny
Hargrave and McGuiggan. Space had a five second lead at the
start of lap two and increased his advantage to six seconds
by the start of lap three but then made a mistake just after
the start of lap four that cost him the win when he went
down in the first turn. Staley inherited the point. Space
remounted second and closed the gap but ran out of time.
Staley got the win with a two and a half second lead. Space,
Wethington, Hargrave and Kyle Paquin rounded out the top
five.
Staley, Wethington and Space led the start of the
final Open C moto. Space took the lead in the front section
and pulled away to start lap two with a three second lead.
Wethington, Staley, Hargrave and McGuiggan rounded out the
top five. Space continued to stretch out his lead and took
the checkered flag nine seconds ahead of Staley. Wethington,
Hargrave and McGuiggan completed the top five.
Space (2-1) topped the podium. Staley (1-2)
finished second and Wethington (3-3) third.
